Friday Flashback and Caturday Art.

This week the flashback comes from June 2007 (with apologies to the Trout Towne Tabbies!)

I Spy.

Eric: Shhh I am being stealthy. I haf spied sumfing in our field that's not yooshully there.

Look it's big fev-vers. We don't yooshully git ducks like that here, they are yooshully smaller mallards.

Here comes back up. Flynn has spied him too, and Mr. Duck duzn't efun know we're watching him.

Uh-oh, he's just seen us. Now we're having a three way stare down.

Note from mum:
The duck was very tame, probably from the local fruit farm. He let me pick him up, and at the third attempt I got him to fly away, "fev-vers" intact.

This week the date of the random photo was suggested by Mackerull from the Trout Towne Tabbies.
He asked for 18.07.06 and the nearest date is 17.07.06

Flynn drinking rainwater from the outdoor bowl.
I am using this photo for Caturday Art with Athena the Cat Goddess, and for the puzzle.

I started with Sunshine at 40%, then Flow at 30%.

  19. That is such a gorgeous piece of artwork of Flynn. It looks like a 'still painting'. Sure looks like you saved that fev-vers just in the nick of time! MOL

  20. Meowza, we only have little birds that come by our house, except that one flicker that insists on tapping on the metal fireplace pipe on the roof. It's quite a mewsing to watch The Female Human go out on the upstairs deck and yell at him.

  29. 10:48 on the jigsaw, and a great one it was too!
I can see the concentration of the Big Gamehunter on your faces. That was a pretty big game bird, alas I don't get any tht big around here so Christmas lunch tends to be sparrow size, MOL!
    Stay safe and well, everyone.

  32. Kozmo is our bold hunter. Though he does take in the quail, he runs when the Canada Geese or any smaller ducks come up the banks. And now Mom and me are off to do the puzzle. We LOVE your Art.
