Friday Flashback and Caturday Art.

 This post comes from January 2009 and was originally a Mancat Monday.

Flynn: We haven't been out walking around the fields much lately because the weather has been too bad. Now we are out, we have to make sure everything is as it should be. I am looking up across the fields to check things out.

Eric:  While Flynn is checking the top field, I will look down across the bottom fields.

Everything looked all right there so now we will do our foot patrol and check the other fields. We are glad it didn't rain and we enjoyed going out again to do our Mancat duties. There is rain forecast for the rest of the week so we may look after the wood burner instead.

The random photo was requested by the Trout Towne Tabbies who asked for 8.01.09. The nearest I have is 7.01.09, so exactly 13 years ago. I didn't have any of the boys together on that date so they get two photos.

Not sure what Flynn was looking at, probably a leaf caught in cobwebs.

Eric always preferred the small cat tree even though the other one was twice the size.

For Eric I used Gorky at 50% then just a touch of Sadness at 15%.

Friday Flashback and Caturday Art.

 I have another selection of one photo posts today.

After all the worry with Eric being ill over the last two weeks, I just need to sit here and think about how much I love him. I'm so happy he's back to normal again, and we even had a rassle earlier.

Me and my dad both like it when we can find a nice sunspot in the garden furr napping.

Eric always likes to read the newspapers with our dad, but I prefer to read them on my own.

If I find an interesting article, I really like to get stuck in.

If there is more than one interesting item, it's hard to decide which to read.

But if a spider comes along, that is even more interesting.

When dad has finished his breakfast, we like to sit down together and read the newspapers.

 

Then we have a snooze and maybe a snoring competition.

The first is with his dad on the small  tractor helping to bring the hay bales in from the field.

The second is keeping guard of the big tractor for his dad.

We are going to take it easy today. We are just going to sit here and watch the fev-vers. We're not even going to catch the mousies. Nope, we're having a day off today.

To take it easy on a Sunday, you need to find yourself a good sunspot.

And if your mum wants to use the compooter, tell her that's tough cuz you were there furrst. Anyway she should be used to working around us by now.

Dad has been clearing a lot of old junk out of his barn that has been there for years. I was snoopervising and then I saw this metal fing looking at me. I went over and told it that I wuz in charge around here and I didn't want any trouble furrom it. I fink it knew I wuz a mancat and not to be trifled with.

After the busy day we had yesterday looking after our dad and making sure he had a great purrfday, today we are just going to relax. No hunting, just napping and eating. We haf to nap now cuz there are boomie storms due tonight.

Just taking some well earned rest and relaxation.

Easy on Sunday with potted Eric.

If the sun is shining but it's freezing cold out, don't worry, just find yourself a nice big plant pot in the greenhouse. The greenhouse makes a very good giant litterbox too.

It looks like a lovely sunny day furr a stroll around the fields duzn't it. Well, if you thought that you'd be wrong cuz the wind wuz blowing a gale and it wuz freeeeezing. I tried to keep as close to the hedge as I could so the wind didn't blow my furrs inside out.

This is an older scanned pikchur of me. When I wuz younger I used to like to climb up the inside of the hedge and suddenly pop out to see what wuz happening. I still do it now sumtimes to see what birdies haf built their nests in there.

One of the good things about being able to go outdoors furr walks is that you can pee like a real mancat. Only thing is you haf to remember you're not still outdoors when you go in your litterbox again. Mum's don't like it much if you furrget yourself. I only did it once and I wuz so embarrassed I didn't do it again.
Notice the back leg movement, that is furry impawtunt to get that right. You don't want to get wet paws.

I like to lie on the path outside of the garage cuz I can snoopervise efurryone who goes in and out furrom here. That is what a responsible mancat duz.

The random photo(s) this week was chosen by Marv who asked for mid December 2013. It was Flynn's first Christmas without Eric but he still had to check the tree, maybe looking at the Eric and Flynn tree ornaments.
