The flashback this week comes from March 2008.
Looking for Mousies!
*Flynn listens*
I am joining Athena the Cat Goddess for the Caturday Art blog hop.
For Eric I started with Reds at 40%, then Lily at 25%.
*Flynn keeps listening*
Eric used to lie across the desk and Flynn was usually on the Peggy Blankie on the left of the monitor, or on the laptop case which was on the worktop slightly further to the left. Very often I would have to use my leg as a mouse mat so I didn't disturb them.
We did miss them though.
The random photo has been chosen by Timmy Tomcat who asked 8th October so this is from 8.10.10

I am also joining Sandee at Comedy Plus for the blog hop.
Sometimes the mousies were just too clever.

I always loved their mousing adventures! Love that art too.
ReplyDeleteI always love seeing the boys on their mousie hunts.
ReplyDeleteEric and Flynn loved there mousie hunting time. Eric laying across the desk is just too cute. Thanks for sharing these wonderful memories. Have an excellent rest of your day.

Bummer! You missed them even though you looked both ways?
ReplyDeleteKozmo can't wait for spring! He did catch a mouse under the deck 2 days ago and wanted to bring it in the house! I am sure the boys were too much of gentlemen to ever do that! I love the mousie listening poses! The art is fabulous! And I can't wait to do the puzzles! Have a marvellously Happy Day!
ReplyDeleteI think about Angel's Eric and Flynn, when I'm outside in the yard at night, when it's quiet and I can hear noises from the gardens. Is it mice or insects, or leaves decaying? I don't know, but it's fun to be there to listen!
ReplyDeleteOff to play puzzles; thank you!
Lovely story and photos and art! :) <3
ReplyDeleteWe always loved their mousie stories! Nice artwork and thanks for the puzzles!
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
Your Mousie hunting was always such fun!
ReplyDeleteLove the artwork!!!
You can't win everytime... Purrs
ReplyDeleteAwww such sweet cats! And I have to appreciate your using your knee to balance the computer mouse so as not to disturb someone sleeping! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteI did not know mousies in the fields made a lot of noise.
ReplyDeleteYou cant make a catch every time I guess. You did a fine effort thought I must say. Thanks so much for that photo. Yes we do many things to let our cats be comfortable while we are in some odd contortion Ha Ha
ReplyDeleteVery nice flash backs and we love your art. Can we ask if there is an app to make the art or how do you do that? Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteI bet the mousies never stood a chance with you two!
ReplyDeleteThe boys manage to look very cute while hunting those mousies.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Flynn was the best mousie hunter ever. Thank you for the puzzles. XO
ReplyDeleteI thought after hunting in the fields, they had come back to look for computer-mice... But I'm sure Flynn would have caught something, anyway.
ReplyDeleteBoys, you were ace at any hunting you did! If those mousies were there, you'd found 'em. Ask Mommy for May 29. XXOO
ReplyDeleteI do all of my mouse-hunting indoors, so it's fun to hear about outdoor techniques!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Genji
PS: I Caught a mouse a few days ago!
Great adventures and art!
ReplyDeleteDon't tell me they let the mouses get away and couldn't even lay on the computer mousie.
ReplyDeleteGreat flashback of Eric and Flynn. We thought they ALWAYS got the mousies. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat great pictures of both of them. Both listening AND watching werk. Iza was a watcher. I'm a listener. ~ MARLEY
ReplyDeleteWe bet those days when mousies managed to put one over on you were furry rare.
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE your pictures.
A kitty in front of a computer is a familiar site. MOL Too bad those mousies hid on the boys.
ReplyDeleteHe was a phenomenal hunter, wasn't he?
ReplyDeleteThe yuletide lyric "do you hear what I hear?" definitely was inspired by cats listening for mousies! What's that?...*ears up*... xoxo
ReplyDeletelooks like real mousies weren't the only ones they loved!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteHow much fun they are!
ReplyDeleteDori: I may have hunted for mousies when I was a very little girl and lived with my pawrents in the woods before getting Got.
ReplyDeleteHerman: I definitely hunted for mousies when I got lost and had to survive before I got found. I don't remember being very good at it.
I have never heard a mousie, I don't think. I was borned in Octopurr, and got rescued in January. Afraid my meowmory is gone from then. Hey! Maybe I was twaumatized... by a mousie!!!
