Eric 8th April 2000 - 19th March 2013 |
Eight years since you had to leave us, how can it be that long! We love and miss you just as much today as we did then, and that will never change.
We love you, our darling boy.
Memorial Plaques.
Ivor made plaques for both boys after each had left us, but bugs got under the bark and were destroying them from the inside, so he made new ones and got them in place before Eric's anniversary.

Eric was a cool dude and we still miss him.

I know the sadness that you feel in your heart. Eric left us in March and Abby left the same year in August. It's hard to believe the passage of time. In some ways it soothes off the rough edges but it never lessens the severity of the emptiness that sits there like a huge crater, and although it may be invisible to those you cannot see it, nevertheless it sits there and there are moments when you are right back to the very moment...and I know it passes and we go back to our new normal, but things are never the same. Thinking of you. Deepest purrs
ReplyDeleteWe didn't start reading your blog until after Eric had gone, so we are always glad when you share memories of him. Purrs as you remember him.
ReplyDeleteThey all live on in our thoughts and memories, bringing many smiles and the occasional tears. How can it already be eight years?

ReplyDeleteGosh! I can't believe it has been that long! It seems like yesterday! Eric was a unique soul and I am sure you still see him out of the corner of your eye. And feel his presence. I love the new signs! And the roses. Sending you love, virtual hugs and strength. Barb
