This week I have two posts which although originally posted almost three weeks apart go well with each other.
17th May 2008 In the Greenhouse.Eric: We both like it in the greenhouse cuz it is always warm even when it rains. I like drinking out of the watering can the best as well. It tastes much better than ordinary water.
We help mum in here by digging up all the earth furr her, but she duzn't like it much when we use it as a litterbox.
Can you see Flynn? He's napping in the big plant pot. Mum put a lot of weeds in it, then we started sleeping in it so she put some hay in it to make it comfy. She sez it will soon haf to be moved cuz she wants to start planting her tomatoes in here. Maybe she will leave a corner furr us to sleep in it.
Flynn: This is a nice nap spot. I yooshully sleep here during the day, then Eric sleeps in here at night until we haf to go indoors to go to bed. I don't want mum to move it.
15th June 2008 Thanks Mum.
Do you remember the great big plant pot we found in the greenhouse? Mum had put weeds and cut grass in it to throw away. We decided it was a good place furr napping but only one of us could get in at a time.Mum told us not to get too attached to it cuz it wuz soon going outdoors so she could put her tomato plants growing in the greenhouse.
Well, she didn't take it out, but she put another one in there as well, and put nice sweet horse hay in there furr us to sleep on. Look we have one each. We wuz hoping she wouldn't plant her tomatoes too quick.
The Random photo this week was chosen by Katie Isabella who asked for 29.05.12.
I try to match the photo date with the month I post it.
The boys are relaxing in the shade after a long walk around the fields.
I then tried with Deep Dream Generator. I never have much success with that but after the 4th attempt was reasonably happy with the result. I haven't a clue what I ended up doing, but here it is.

I am also joining Sandee at Comedy Plus for the blog hop.
As we started reading the post, we thought "well why not just have gotten 2 for the boys"? And then we saw you did. We had forgotten that one!
ReplyDeleteBTW, those watering cans and pots must be internatioonal. He have identical ones...
My human remembers seeing those big pots and the way you set them up for the boys.
ReplyDeleteaaah now we know that kitties grow in a pot... where can we get such plants? amazon?
ReplyDeleteOnce again l have to say..
ReplyDeleteMy most favourite photos

You are so known for being the Flowerpot kitties!! Loved seeing how it all began:)
ReplyDeleteCan you find any pics for June 13, or July 25? Year isn't too important.
Oh I love these ones they look so cute in the flowerpots heheh!
ReplyDeleteHave a memorytastic weekend 👍
One of my ALL TIME FAVORITE things was always the boys sleeping in those big pots. Too adorable for words. You were so sweet to let them "keep" those pots!! Love the shade resting photo too......
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
Those pots were perfect napping spots, and that photo of them both in their pots, surrounded by the tomato plants, is wonderful. Such loved boys! ♥
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely thing to do, putting another pit in there so both boys could enjoy comfortable naps. There is no end to what we will do for our beloved pets.
ReplyDeleteI am trying hard to be a good little boy but I can't help it. I just have to run and jump and push things of shelves sometimes!
Purrs,
Benny
That also made #1 think of the famous parsley pot episode with Huffle Mawson! Do you remember that campaign started by Angus Mhor?
DeleteI LOVED seeing the boys in their pots! Always did, and seeing that rising-from-the-pot sweet head in the second picture went a long way to bringing me the biggest smile I have had all day. 29/5 is the birthday of my favorite brovver. The year is not his birth year- but when Admiral flew away. Thank you so much. XXX
ReplyDeleteOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
ReplyDeleteThose big pot look so comfy!
Maybe I need to get one ;)
I really don't understand what mum means when she says I have enough sleeping spots :o

ReplyDeleteVery wonderful story with lovely photos and art! :) <3
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you both had your own pots in the end. It's only fair. What great flashbacks.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. Big hug to mom. ♥
You have a great mom to accommodate you that way.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
We always loved seeing you fellows enjoying your big pot and now we know the story. Mom sure did the right thing keeping you both comfy. We loved seeing you this week friends
ReplyDeleteYou two were the cutest. And yes, I hope she didn't water you by mistake!
ReplyDeleteThe greenhouse seems a lovely place to relax, and who would guess their were potted cats inside?!
ReplyDeleteThose pots must have been the comfiest places to snooze, especially on a warm summer's day when the straw was heated.
ReplyDeleteEric and Flynn, I'm very impressed with your ingenious choices where to drink from and nap in! It's thoughtful of your mom to plant her tomatoes so they don't interfere with naptime. The artwork is very nice! Thanks for sharing your handsome boys. Jean
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful Mom you boys had to let you each have a pot for napping!!! We like to "help" with the gardening, but the Momster says we help too much. So for the most part we are banned from the gardens:(
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
We love it when the cat -er-plants bloom !
ReplyDeleteWe always loved seeing the boys in their pots. fun artwork and thanks for the puzzles.

ReplyDeleteawesome potted cats! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteOMC I want to plant kitties too!!! They were SO adorable in those pots!!!
ReplyDeleteAlways love seeing these two boys, especially in flower pots. :)
ReplyDeleteI love this flashback. I didn't follow blogs back then so I knew they loved their pots for napping, but I didn't know the sweet thing you did for them by planting the tomatoes around instead of in them. I like both pieces of art. Thank you for the puzzles. XO
ReplyDeleteI love this post and all the wonderful pictures. I, also, love the art. Very nicely done.
ReplyDeleteSay it with me three times fast: Two pot cats in two cat pots. Go ahead, try it. Wonderfully fun flashback photos of those dear angel boys!
ReplyDeleteYay Mom! Cat: Plus 1. Tomato Pots: -0
ReplyDeleteAs it should be, the Cats are the winners.
(and along with everyone else, favorite photos!)
We absolutely love all these photos. We were not blogging or reading blogs in 2008. You were such a good mom to provide both Eric and Flynn with their very own pots. Both art pieces came out beautifully. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer & Kizmet
ReplyDeleteIf there's something that always makes smile, it's seeing Angels Eric and Flynn in their flowerpots. XO
ReplyDeleteLove the photo with the pots. So sweet!
ReplyDeleteI remember the postings of the boys sleeping in the pots because I loved those photos so much! Thanks for resharing them! Great artwork!!
ReplyDeleteWe remember the flower pots! Our outdoor friend, Phantom, started sleeping in a flower pot on the front porch after the plant died. Our mom was going to get another plant to put in the pot, but couldn't deprive Phantom of her bed, so she just bought another plant already in a pot and set it next to the one Phantom likes. Cats come first!

I'd say you two boys are spoiled ... but if you deserve to be ... does that make it adequate treatment or can we still call that spoiling?
ReplyDeleteMom says she always loved seeing Eric and Flynn all potted!
ReplyDeleteThey're twinning with the pot! Adorable.
