Friday Flashback and Caturday Art.

The flashback this week comes from December 2008 and is called:

On The Scent.

We don't go out as much through the winter, toasting your toesies by the fire is much better. We still have to make the effort now and again though to make sure nothing has changed and to check the different smells.

Eric: After a quick walk around the field, we went into the barn and I could smell something on the plastic. I think it was only mice, but I put my scent on it just in case it was an introoder.

Then we walked in the grass along the outside of the barn. We thought we could smell something here. Flynn said he was on the trail.

Yes, there is definitely an introoder smell here. We keep telling mum something is digging it's way into the garden, but all she says is " What's up with you two, there is nothing there. Why are you all poofed up?"
Just wait until we catch it. That will show her there really is something out here.
The frosty grass has given us cold toesies, so we are going back to the fire to warm them up.

The random photo was chosen by Ellen from 15 and Meowing who asked for 27.11.10.
I didn't have a photo of them together on that date so chose consecutive photos. It was a cold frosty evening and starting to get dark, but that didn't put them off their walk. I think they were probably a lot more eager than me to go out!

I am joining Athena, the Cat Goddess for the blog hop.

It was an already cold evening so I made it colder with Frost at 50% then Scribble at 25%.

Your mum should always trust the trusty hunters' introoder sniffers! Sweet flashback.

Did you catch the introoder in the end? :-)

Smart to put your scent on things so the introoder goes away.

Thanks for the puzzle.

Walking about in the cold looking for trespassers is cold work. Lucky you had a fire to warm yourselves.

Those boys were such good police patrolling their area. Thank you for choosing my date. I will pick another in case you need more 11-1-2015, my great-nieces birthday.

Must have been hard leaving a toasty fire to venture out into the frosty cold, but every good farm cat knows that patrols are still a must! Mom's catwork is brr brr to even look at! But pretty as always. Hope Mom and Dad are doing well. Until next week...Jean

Well, if Eric and Flynn said there was an introoder, there surely must have been. :)

The best part of going out into the cold is being able to come back in to the warmth.

How brave of you to go out on a cold, frosty evening!
We hope you managed to catch the introoder.

We love watching the boys on patrol! They sure remind me of Kozmo! When I get mobile, I'll check the farm supply in Grand Forks for Arnica (thanks for the reminder) I know they used to carry it. I had to cancel the cat's appointment for tomorrow as I can't drive. The cats have been watching me carefully. We hope you are having a marvellous week.
