This week it is two short posts both from June 2010.
The first was originally an Easy Like Sunday.
It is so hot we are just lying around everywhere. Even the cool earth isn't really cool.
I prefer to lie in the border with mum's new bedding plants that she just put in.
What do you mean, I'm flattening them?
The next one was called Picnic.
It has been so hot that we didn't even have the energy to go indoors for our supper, so mum brought it out to us. It was like having a picnic.

Ha! I could just imagine Eric going to the bedding plants and just flopping over...
ReplyDeleteBut of course I have to lie right where the plants are, that's where you were digging and it's nicer there!
ReplyDeleteA picnic sounds good, but it's already too hot here.
Thank you for linking up with Feline Friday!
That was darn cozy and such a nice picnic too! Very pretty art.
ReplyDeleteA picnic - now there's an idea we haven't thought of. It was beautiful here today and dinner on the deck would have been ideal. We are going to file that idea for another day.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful art.

Oooh...a picnic!!!
ReplyDeleteDearest Jackie,
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely images you share here of Eric and Flynn.
They were so much loved and cared for—even by catering a special picnic outdoors.
So heartwarming to see kitties being loved that much and sorry for the 'dented' plants...
Hugs,
Mariette + Kitties
It must have felt cool lying on the cold dirt
ReplyDeleteRolling around on bare dirt is allus good. We are glad they enjoyed it. And it bothers fleas too. Not that they had any of course. "Just in case", though!
ReplyDeleteNice picnic. TBT says he will do that soon.
You boys were really testing the soil and weeding around the plants, right? I'd say you were both excellent gardeners. πΈ
ReplyDeleteDining al fresco, what a treat!
You always have to have help finding out of the soil conditions are good for planting flowers. It seemed like it was as hot as that here a few days ago and it was, but now we're having what is called BlackBerry winter. Not as cold as normal which is with frost or freeze but it certainly has been soaking wet and not pretty. Those boys certainly looked handsome.
ReplyDeletePicnics are always fun, especially when you don't have to do any of the food prep.
ReplyDeleteLovely art, and I'll puzzle soon...thanks.

ReplyDeleteVery cute flashback. Beautiful art. Thanks for the puzzles. XO
ReplyDeleteIt is fun rolling in the dirt and having your tea outside!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet post. But then, they all are. The boys look like they really enjoyed their picnic! Mom's catwork is very nice. Hope Mom and Dad are both well. Until next time...Jean

ReplyDeleteWe love Flynn's artified stretching in the dirt.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhh E&F you two had PhDs in how to be 1000% relaxed. Love the photos of you sleeping on the warm soil and snacking in your catico
ReplyDeleteHugs Cecilia
The boys' picnic memory is really special, as was Angel Flynn's laying on, er, helping with Mom Jackie's bedding plants.
ReplyDeleteThe art is really mewtiful!
ReplyDeleteMummy says She can't remember it being so hot in England when She was a girl - Is it Memory, or is it climate change?
Cute picnic!!
ReplyDeleteSo good to see you enjoying the beautiful weather, sweet Angels. We have flattened plants too, not of us, but of the slugs and snails...πNow let us join for the picnic, it sounds deliciousπΈDouble Pawkisses for a Happy Time ahead dear Jackie and IvorπΎπ½π
ReplyDeleteWe think you boys had your ears to the ground waiting to hear the stirrings of mice! So you took a little snooze, too ...
ReplyDeleteI think they enjoyed their picnic!
