This flashback comes from September 2010 and is called:
Climbing Trees.
Flynn: I am a good tree climber and I love to climb all trees. This is an old thorn tree and a lot of the branches are dead so I have to be careful. Eric is not a good tree climber, he usually watches me from the ground. When he does try to climb, mum says he is so awkward, he's like a camel coming back down.
Eric: It doesn't look so far up that tree now I am standing on the hedge. I wonder if I should try.
This isn't so hard, I think I will keep climbing.
Wow! Look how high I am. It looks dark up there with all the leaves and the ivy. I've had to turn my lasers on so I can see where Iam going.
Hey Flynn! Look at me up here!
This is easy peasy! What do you mean Flynn, I need to go back? A dead branch? Okay I'm coming back.
It's a good job Flynn was watching, that branch could have broken and I would have crashed to the ground.
Flynn: I'm not taking my eyes off Eric until he's back down. I don't want him landing on my head.

That was always some professional level climbing!!! Very pretty art too. Hugs from all of us.
ReplyDeleteI used to enjoy climbing trees, too. I don't blame Flynn one bit for wanting to do it.
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up with Feline Friday!
No one wants their brofur to land on their head!
ReplyDeleteExcellent action snaps, Angel Fellas!
Off to puzzle...thanks.
Dearest Jackie and Ivor,
ReplyDeleteAt times it really looked like they wanted to show off to their human parents.
Pieter once had to rescue our first kitty girl out of a tall tree. There were large roaming dogs and she fled and climbed all the way—then cried for fear. Pieter got her out.
Your boys were kind of competing as well and it can be funny.
Enlarged your photos and enjoyed their facial expressions of assessing the next move.
Hugs,
Mariette + Kitties
wow you are like artists... therefore every photo is art... wish we could climb like you... the pigeons had a hard time hehe
ReplyDeletePuts a whole new light on what we call a cat tree, now doesn't it. The cat tree in our house certainly looks nothing like that, lol. Glad those boys enjoyed it while they had it.
ReplyDeleteWhy are you getting this card instead of a plant?? LOL I need to know!! ha ha ha

What pretty cards! The boys always look like they are enjoying themselves. Nice catwork! Hope everyone is feeling better. Until next time...Jean
ReplyDeleteI am 100% certain if Eric and Flynn had wanted to climb Mt. Everest they would have been successful. What fearless athletes they were.
ReplyDeleteHappy USPS and British Postal have been successful at delivering your cards...you are most welcomed for them.
hugs cecilia
I have to agree with Cecilia that Eric and Flynn can climb wherever they please! With ease. (I'm a poet).
ReplyDeleteNice cards, you are so loved. I enjoyed the flashback- glad Eric didn't fall. Thank you for the puzzles. XO
ReplyDeleteSuch a precious pair!
ReplyDeleteThat was a pretty good climb for Eric; he never seemed to like it up high.
ReplyDeleteWe hope you are doing well and are sending healing purrs and light. Eric got really high up that tree.
ReplyDeleteWOW Angel Eric, we're impurressed to see you up there, if only we had trees like that...sigh...You're a good brother, Angel Flynn, oh and both your artworks are just wonderfulπΊπΊBeautiful card too, Jackie. We hope and purray that you're on the way upπHealing Pawkisses for you and one for Ivor tooπΎπ½π
ReplyDeleteHow sweet that Flynn the amazing tree climber watched over Eric to make sure he was okay up there. XO
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing the boys climbing in the trees. It always amazed me at how high up they would get.
ReplyDeleteYour artwork with the photos is so beautiful. Eric was very brave to climb the tree to join Flynn. One time our neighbors' cat was in our yard. He surprised Lightning and Ciara who chased him. He hopped over the fence to safety but then climbed very high up a tree. He didn't seem to know how to get down. The father eventually had to get a ladder and go up to rescue the cat. We think that was the last time he came into our yard.

Well done to Flynn for looking out for you. Lovely art!
ReplyDeleteThinking of you always, even though We haven't sent a card.
ReplyDeleteAnd the boys! So adventurous! And the art is absolutely furabulous.
When Alex gets back from working overseas, he is going to trim the huge tree in the backyard that we like to climb. Last time he did that our favorite branch to lay on and watch the river underneath was cut off. This time we hope he does not cut our newest favorite branch! We love seeing the flashbacks! Keep being awesome! Purrs Marvelous Marv, Kozmo, Jo Jo, Nutmeg and Mom Barb
ReplyDeleteThough I'm a bit envious of Angel Flynn's climbing prowess, I'm much better off staying on the ground and watching. And of course, dad had to make some smart*ss remark about my climbing skills or lack thereof. I've pretty well learned to just tune him out, much like mom does.
