This week the flashback is from December 2010. I showed a video of Eric in the snow a few weeks ago from the same time.
Snow is not fun!
When it snowed at the weekend, mum asked us if we would like to go out and play in it. IS SHE MAD??? We used to play in it when we were young and foolish, but we are older boys now with more sense. Anyway, she chucked us out the door! That shouldn't be allowed surely. Oh okay then, she opened the door and we made the mistake of going out to check it out.Flynn: I ran right under the hedge where there was no snow.
Eric: And I went under the swing hammock.
Flynn: Mum kept trying to get photos of me under the hedge, so I had to move away from her. I tried to keep my feet out of the snow.
When I got to the end of the hedge, I had to walk on the nasty white stuff.
Yuk! I do not like this cold stuff one bit.
I don't care what she says, I'm heading back indoors.
Eric: Good idea, I'm coming too.
Okay mum, so we've been out and walked in it, now take it away again.
Hang on a minute Flynn, there's an interesting smell here.
For goodness sake Eric, never mind the smells, lets get back in by the fire.

I agree, get back in where it's warm, boys! Thank you for linking up with Feline Friday.
ReplyDeletewe so so so agree... snow is s-NO-w fun.. not even da nelly likes it and he comes from an area what has practically winter the whole year... ugh
ReplyDeleteWe get so little snow these days that it's quite the event when it happens! But we agree that warm and dry is the way to be!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
That must have been one time when those boys should have been wearing warm boots and had all the coat. I quite agree with them now that I'm an old grown up, forget the snow.
ReplyDeleteYou boys made me laugh! Angels Annie and Derry were happy to go out in the snow, Chumley and Nicki not quite so much. It's only fun if it's a little bit and lasts a few hours, not months! 😁
ReplyDeleteThe fire is definitely better than the snow!
ReplyDeleteSo cold on the pawsies! My cats have never seen snow. I'm sure they'd feel the same as the boys.
ReplyDeleteSnow is fun for a little while, but knowing the fire is waiting makes it all the better.
ReplyDeleteMOL MOL is "mom mad"... I hear you I recall loving it when I was a wee girl as did my daughter. Neither of us thought about all the wet clothes that needed to be washed a dried or the floors that got muddy
ReplyDeleteHappy Feline Friday
Hugs Cecilia
WOW!! Snow and cats! I Marvelous, awoke to snow on Sunday! I thought it was all over for this year, but the weather guessers are saying we could still get some more this weekend. I'm not too sure though, it was 21c yesterday. It was only 8 (and raining this morning...too cold for me, I stood right in the door and refused to go out or come in! Mom tried to push me out, but I ran into the basement...I MIGHT try to go out if the sun comes out! Keep being awesome! Marvelous Marv, Kozmo, Jo Jo, Nutmeg and Mom Barb
ReplyDeleteI would choose to be by the fire too. I do not like snow or cold.Maybe I can snooze until it gets wasm...MOL!!!!!
ReplyDeletePurrs Winnie

ReplyDeleteSnow must've been a fairly infrequent adventure for those boys!
ReplyDeleteWe love you, Eric and Flynn, but we must admit we do love our snow. It feels so good on our feet and we really enjoy a good roll in it too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing that fun memory of your boys.

Brrrrr, I'll bet that frosty paws really wasn't fun! Pretty art too. Hugs from all of us.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adventure! :)
ReplyDeleteSnow is pretty to watch, but being inside is much nicer. Love the pics and the artwork.
ReplyDeleteMum likes snow, but we rarely get it now. Of course, she hates it when it gets slippery! Lovely art x
ReplyDeleteAnd what smells there are, are probably dampened by the cold and wet; Eric was lucky to sniff anything at all. Snow is just not fun for mature beings, cats or people.
ReplyDeleteBrr brr brr! Thankfully in my neck of the woods, we don't get snow. Having never been raised in it, I don't think I could tolerate it. Hopefully you boys got right inside to the warm fire as soon as your Mom stopped clicking away. Beautiful catwork. Hope all is well. Until next time...Jean
ReplyDeleteEric and Flynn sure were smart boys. That white stuff is so, so cold on the toesies. Inside, warm, and cozy is way better, if you ask us. :)
ReplyDeleteThe poor boys, they clearly were not thrilled with the snow. Nice art. Thanks for the puzzles. XO
ReplyDeleteWe agree, snow may be furry purrty to look at, but it is Cold and Wet and NOT FUN to walk on!
ReplyDeleteThe art, on the other paw, is purrty and has no such drawbacks (mol).
Walking in the snow means you have to shake yer paws with every step! We don't like the stuff.
ReplyDeleteSnow!! We're glad all of ours is gone...though north of us they are getting snow as I type. Brrr.
ReplyDeleteWe had wicked weather around here, thd the northern parts of this system are having ice and snow. Yikes! The weather was so severe with warnings all over the place that they cancelled our church service, Good thing because they lost power.
Stay warm!!
