First before the flashback we remember our much loved Flynn who had to leave us 8 years ago yesterday. Always loved never forgotten.

Flynn 8th April 2020 - 1st May 2017. |
This week the flashback comes from January 2011 and is called Camera Cat. Flynn got this post to himself but I will be doing a flashback of Eric with the camera next week.
Yes, you were all right. I was wearing a collar for the first time in my nearly 11 years of life! This is the reason why.
Our friend Emerson won a pet camera in a competition from Skeezix but said as he was indoors only he thought we would get more interesting photos than him.
Mum decided I should be the one to try it first as I explore more than Eric but he will be trying it later. She bought a collar and put that on me indoors for a few minutes at a time to get me used to it then a couple of days later put the camera on the collar. I wasn't very sure about it but I didn't freak out. She said she was surprised how good I was with it. Then she let me go in the garden wearing it for a few minutes. She won't let me go in the fields with it for a few days yet. Here are some of my first photos. My very first photo. I hid in the cube to start with and these are the fev-vers on my fev-ver butt mousie.
Then I decided to hide under the dining room chair.
When I realised that the thing hanging on my neck wasn't going to strangle me, I ventured outdoors and looked at the greenhouse.
Mum followed me to make sure I was all right, and of course she had to take photos of me taking photos.
Walking down to the hedge. Interesting things like mousies live under there.
I sat down and focused on a blade of grass so I could get a good photo of it.
Not bad for a beginner eh?
Then I thought I would have a nom on it.
Nom nom nom.
Okay, that's enough for my first attempt! I'm going back to the fire. There were a lot more photos than this but most were blurry when I kept lying down trying to hide the camera in the beginning. Mum was surprised how clear the other ones came out though.
So that Eric doesn't get left out, here is a Wordless Wednesday also from January 2011.

Awww, eight years. Still loved and so missed. I remember those fun photos! Hugs from all of us!
ReplyDeleteI know you love them both still so much. The photos were intriguing and the camera did a good job when Eric cooperated with it.
ReplyDeleteFlynn was so handsome, too.
Thank you for linking up with Feline Friday!
wow you were the reporter for the blogville news... we hope we will get no cam, it would show all the crime and mischief we do hahahahaha
ReplyDeleteEverytime these 'memory days' come around they still make us feel sad for a while. Hugs to you and Ivor as you remember with loving fondness, your beloved Flynn.
ReplyDeleteHe sure made a lot of fun pictures!
Such wonderful memories we all have of the boys. I know in my heart our Angels are always "with" us but we sure would like to hold them, hug them, and talk to them in person again! Sweet, precious boys.......
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
A beautiful selfie of Eric. 8 years, on one hand they go quickly on the other hand you feel like it's in slow motion when you've lost someone you'll love. What an angel Flynn was to wear that camera and take pictures for you down close and personal with the ground.๐๐
ReplyDeleteLots of hugs as you remember Flynn's Bridge day. ๐
ReplyDeleteI remember that kitty cam! It was neat to see the world from their perspective.
Such a handsome pic of Eric, too. He could never be left out. ๐บ
Hardly seems 8 years. But cherish the memories.
ReplyDeleteThe cat can always gave interesting images... TBT is thinking of getting one to put on Taz . He wanders around the yard a lot.

Oh, your love for your precious boys shines through in these heartwarming posts. I can so relate to your feelings. Every September I can't believe how many years it's been since sweet Lucy was last here. Until the end, she knew how deeply loved and wanted she was to me! I hope everyone in your home is well. Until next time...Jean

ReplyDeleteThere's something about Flynn's artiness that's really awesome, though Eric's is delightful as well.
