Mancat Monday

This is one of our fields where dad stole our lovely green grass. Usually it starts to turn green again after two days. It has been unusually hot and dry here and our grass is still prickly and brown. We hope it soon turns green again because it is not very tasty when it is like this.

Don't worry though because we have got green grass in our garden and in one of the fields, so we go and eat that.

That is no fun ... hard dry grasses! We hope you get some rain. Here where we live it doesn't rain hardly at all in the summer. So we are now in a drought!

You have color-coordinated grass right now!

One of Mom's young dogwood trees that our Grampy planted last year is dying. Grampy is watering them and the flower beds, but it's been blistering hot here and the ground doesn't hold the water very long.

Well, I'm glad to know that you two still have some green grass somewhere! You need somewhere to go to show your red furs off (and to nibble as well). Have a great Mancat Monday, boys (er mancats)!

We agree with everyone else. It does look prickly and no good to eat, and you do blend in nicely.

The other kitties are correct about how well you boys blend in with the brown grass. It doesn't look very soft though. Hope it greens back up soon, but we're glad you have other green grass to lay in and eat!

Purrs and hugs,
