I am taking part in the Caturday Art this week with four versions of the same photo. Two are with Lunapic, and two with Dreamscope.
This is the Moonshine render from Dreamscope.
This is Rugged, also from Dreamscope.
I did this one a few months back with Lunapic and used a basic Lunapic frame for it.
This is also done with Lunapic using several different filters to varying degrees, but of course I had to add about 25% of my favourite Landscape filter to finish it.
This is the original photo.
I have been trying Dreamscope lately but have found the end results are much smaller than they were previously. Probably because they want me to buy the paid for version, but I can't see the point in paying $9.99 a month for something I won't use very often.
I prefer Lunapic because you can adjust how much filter you use and add as many as you want...and it's free!
You can see more art with Athena, the Cat Goddess.

That first one is amazing. We've never quite seen anything like that.
ReplyDeleteThose are all special, just like those boys!
ReplyDeleteSuch handsome subjects to work with!
ReplyDeleteSuch handsome boys!
ReplyDeleteThese are all very cool effects, but I have to say, that Moonshine effect is really something!
ReplyDeleteThey all look very effective. Amazing how a little manipulation can change the whole atmosphere of the photo.
ReplyDeletethey all look fabulous,xx Speedy
ReplyDeleteWhat great effects - that's the perfect photo to add effects to - that Moonshine is magic. We prefer Lunapic too because it's free and easy...!!!
ReplyDeleteLove, Teddy
Those are all great renderings, but we think #1 is the coolest :)

These all look great, but I think the Moonshine one is just perfect for this week--it is so appropriately wintry! Dreamscope has some really cool filters, but you're right--the paid version is too expensive.
ReplyDeleteThey are all so nice looking of you two boys.
ReplyDeleteThese are great, I especially love the first one. XO
ReplyDeleteWe agree with you about Dreamscope and Lunapic! We think all of your photos are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThey all look amazing, miss Jackie. The first one is so COOL, we haven't seen that one before. Dreamscope is crazy asking so much money, I always thought it was the amount for one year. Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend :) <3
ReplyDeleteWe love those!
ReplyDeleteWe agree. LunaPic is much better. Hope it stays free.

Great effects ! Eric and Flynn were handsome ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteAnd really, I pefer seeing the boys with Lunapic. I think those are very much finer renditions the suit the boys perfectly. The other is just too-too for my taste.
ReplyDeleteI have to come back to say I DO like the Moonshine effect from Dreamscape.
ReplyDeleteOMCs we love the dreamscope!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs madi and mom
All 4 are lovely but I think I like the last one from Lunapic the best. I too thought the Dreamscope ones were smaller. I actually get a kick out of doing things old school with Photoshop...Alas work will keep me busy until the end of February. I don't think I will get a chance until then.

Those all look amazing! We love LunaPic too...but that Moonshine effect is incredible.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful. It looks as if you captured all four seasons in the various creations. Great work! We like every one of these. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
ReplyDeleteThe third one is definitely my favorite. I haven't tried filters or arty effects though I keep meaning to. I always say this - because it's so true - but your boys are truly something special.
ReplyDeleteThey’re marvelous! I do tend to especially appreciate the ones that show off the boys ginger furs but the Moonshine pic is really amazing. It looks like a work of art that one would see in a gallery. All around fascinating. I love it!
ReplyDeleteWe love all of them, but we think the Moonshine pic is our favorite. Maybe because it's winter and it just seems appropriate? :)
ReplyDeleteBig hugs. We always love seeing Eric and Flynn!
We like Moonshine too, for the sheer orangeness of the magnificent Boys,
ReplyDeleteLove seeing all the different things you could do with the same photo. Eric and Flynn sure were two handsome kitties.
ReplyDeleteMom Kim
We loved all versions of the boys. We think the first picture is mysterious.
ReplyDeleteShoko and Kali
Even though I wouldn't buy the Dreamscope either, I sure do like the effect here.
ReplyDeleteThose effects are nice. The Moonshine is pretty, but of course, we always think Ginger looks best.
ReplyDeletedoodz !!!! ya eated sum crankee azz cat chow that day huh !! bee sidez yur regular selvez we like de last de best; showz MOR crankee !!! ☺☺♥♥♥♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteWe agree about not paying for something you aren't going to use very often, but that first wintery photo is pretty enough for a Christmas card!

ReplyDeleteFankss fur sharin yur boyss with us.
~~head rubsss~~ Siddhartha Henry~~
We love how the art came out. But with such gorgeous models you couldn't go wrong.
ReplyDeleteEric and Flynn looks so handsome in any art form... love the snow pic.
ReplyDelete<3 We're so glad that you're keeping up this blog. We were thinking of you at your first Christmas without Flynn :(
ReplyDeleteThat's good to know! We will check out Lunapic! Our Mama used to use PicMonkey and it was really fun until you could use less and less options unless you paid a monthly fee. Like you, she doesn't use it that often , so why pay?!
ReplyDeletethe critters in the cottage xo
I like those! I like those, a lot. 'Specially the winter one up on top. PURRS.
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, that first one is really something else We weren't familiar LunaPic and will check it out.
ReplyDeleteI love them all but the first one is my favorite since it's been turned into a winter scene. A perfect Christmas card.
ReplyDeleteGreat art dudes, we just love seeing all the cool effects mew try!!
ReplyDeletebest purrs

I have to say that Moonshine is awesome and has a Christmas feel to it that made me smile. The others are a delight but I can see why the cost isn't an incentive. Still we love the one you use tomorrow, and that is magical in our eyes

Of course I would be doing the free site, too, MOL!
ReplyDeleteThose are nice effects! The blue one makes me think of how cold it has been around here.
