Ivor and I would like to thank everyone for all the good wishes, prayers and kind thoughts. I went back to the hospital on Monday for three appointments and a whole load of tests. My eyes had more tests, X rays and scans than I thought possible. They appear to be in good condition and coordinating with each other again.
The last appointment was with my oncologist. He had looked at both the CT and MRI brain scans and said the lesion in the centre of my brain didn't look like a typical metastatic spread, so hopefully that is good news.
He wants me to have at least two more MRIs so he can be sure to know if there is any change, but said they won't take as long because they know the part of the brain they are looking at now whereas before they scanned everything. Also he has given me Diazepam to sedate me beforehand. I really don't think I could do it again without sedation.
The Friday Flashback from June 2008.
Eric gets his Day.
It's just not fair. When we started our blog, I wuz going to be the main one cuz Flynn's too busy mousing or playing. He wuz just going to do the occasional posts to give me a day off now and again. I'm sure efurrycat has noticed that he gets to post more than me now. He sez it's cuz all I do is lie on the compooter or lie in the garden and don't do eggsiting things like him. Well, enuffs enuff, I'm making today Eric's Day.
UPDATE
We just noticed this is our 401st post. Hmphhh we missed #400

DeleteYour Angel boys' flashback pix always make us smile, and we love the way you artify them. Man, those procedures and tests all sound, well, invasive, I guess. Thanks for the update, and stay optimistic!
ReplyDeleteSo hard to "speak" to this posting ... all the tests, so many, must be so difficult emotionally, and yet very necessary. But thankful you continue to receive good results ... as always, the Angel Boys are adorable and thank you for sharing them. Take care, friend, our hearts are always with you.

ReplyDeleteWe are glad the Dr seems ta have had good news. TBT had the MRI an Cat Scans back in January (fer the 1st time ever) and dint like it much. But he kept his eyes closed and tried to remember werds from old songs an that helped.
ReplyDeleteWe loved Eric's draped paws while guarding the tomato plants.
Thanks for the update, Jackie. We are crossing all our paws and hooves for the MRs.
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to see the Eric posts. Some kitties always end up with the short end, somehow.
Purrs,
Tama and Benny
I am glad things seem to be all on the good side, but it is harrowing to have to do all those tests and appointments. And for sure I am glad that the oncologist is hopeful that it isn't a metastases. I am praying to isn't, too.
ReplyDeleteThat is a cute flashback of the kitty bros having a squabble. And thanks for those puzzles.
We are so relived to know that your health is improving. We are purring that all the testing will come back with positive news. Healing purrs, love and woofs.
ReplyDeleteJackie, I am so glad that you are improving and that they don't believe the MRI found a cancer. I will keep praying for your health. (Barb)
ReplyDeleteWe love that Eric and Flynn fought over whose turn it was to post! We do too. But as the spokescat, I Marv believe I should be in the blog more than the others!
The photos and art are lovely. We are sending you purrs and hugs xx
ReplyDeleteAthena and Marie
You had to share and share alike, boys...
ReplyDeleteIt's an ordeal having MRIs, but thank goodness they'll be able to use them to find out what's going on.
Sending continued healing thoughts! And blog hog, too funny.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got good news. Sorry about the upcoming MRIs. TW closes her eyes, thinks good thoughts and prays during CAT scans. After her bad news, she, at least, found out her cancer markers hadn't gone up. Healing purrz to you.
