Friday Flashback and Caturday Art.

This week the flashback comes from September 2008 and is called:

To Hunt or Mooch?

While Flynn is jumping around in the grass trying to catch a mouse, I think I will just have a mooch around and see what's about.

It's nice to just get out in the fresh air when the rain stops.

We both really enjoy our walks in the fields.

No, I am not peeing, I am listening because I thought I heard a mousie.

After a nice walk, it's good to sit and look at the view from our fields.

And yes, the grass really is that green. It's been like that all summer because we have had so much rain this year.
2022 update. The fields were certainly not like that this year after the hottest summer on record!

And a Wordless Wednesday from Flynn amongst the crocuses in February 2009.

I am joining Athena the Cat Goddess for Caturday Art.

For Flynn I used Landscape at 60% followed by Scribble at 15%

Eric was Watercolour at 50% and then Delaunay at 40%.

  3. The lush fields of the past would be pleasant to walk about in. Like Flynn and the flowers especially.

  4. Ha! Eric read my mind: I was thinking about how green the grass was. You can almost smell it, and feel it under your feet. May it be that green again next summer.

  5. septemeber is the time for the opening... so you can hunt sure ;O)... we had no green grass this year too... and this in a part of the world where it normally rains 365 days per year...

  6. Hmm, that was a tough choice, hunting or mooching! (We thought you meant mooching treats. LOL.)

We love those lush views and hope that next summer they will return.

As always, the artwork is wonderful!

  23. Such gorgeous photos! And I thought I lived in paradise on earth! Eric and Flynn sure had a terrific place. Thanks so much for sharing the flashbacks! We had a hot summer, and we whined, but it was not quite as hot has the previous summer. This winter though has been our 3rd cold one in a row (It is a triple dip of La Niña) and an extremely early start. Keep being awesome! Marv and Mom
