This week the flashback comes from September 2008 and is called:
To Hunt or Mooch?
While Flynn is jumping around in the grass trying to catch a mouse, I think I will just have a mooch around and see what's about.
It's nice to just get out in the fresh air when the rain stops.
We both really enjoy our walks in the fields.
No, I am not peeing, I am listening because I thought I heard a mousie.
After a nice walk, it's good to sit and look at the view from our fields.
And yes, the grass really is that green. It's been like that all summer because we have had so much rain this year.
2022 update. The fields were certainly not like that this year after the hottest summer on record!
And a Wordless Wednesday from Flynn amongst the crocuses in February 2009.

ReplyDeleteDelightful post! The field looks like a lot of fun to explore and just relax. Mom's catwork is really pretty. Hope Mom and Dad are doing well. Until next time...Jean
ReplyDeleteThe lush fields of the past would be pleasant to walk about in. Like Flynn and the flowers especially.
ReplyDeleteHa! Eric read my mind: I was thinking about how green the grass was. You can almost smell it, and feel it under your feet. May it be that green again next summer.
ReplyDeleteseptemeber is the time for the opening... so you can hunt sure ;O)... we had no green grass this year too... and this in a part of the world where it normally rains 365 days per year...
ReplyDeleteHmm, that was a tough choice, hunting or mooching! (We thought you meant mooching treats. LOL.)
ReplyDeleteWe love those lush views and hope that next summer they will return.
As always, the artwork is wonderful!
I enjoyed the post the no I'm not peeing made me smile heheh! I liked the art too :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a memortuyastic week 👍
Enjoyed the narration with pictures and thanks for the puzzles! I got a good bit of one of them done and will come back to them later. Have a great weekend! :-)

Thanks for stopping by to say hi! That Flynn was a good jumper. That first photo is that pounce move. Get em' Flynn! And we love that crocus photo. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteOh, I so long to see crocus!
ReplyDeleteSpring cannot come fast enough, and it's not even technically Winter yet...eeeks!
Lovely memories, and I'm off to puzzle...thanks.
Wonderful memories!
ReplyDeleteI smile seeing Eric and Flynn - I remember the cats I had over time and - especially - I remember the "ginger" ones (with white). :)
I wish you a nice weekend!

ReplyDeletethanks for sharing these! This is before I started blogging. I always love seeing pictures of the boys out in your gorgeous pasture!!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures and artwork!
ReplyDeleteThat was a fun day!
ReplyDeleteIt's always so lovely to see the boys roaming free. Very heartwarming. I must say your art this week is purrticularly stunning. Love Flynn with those crocuses, and Eric front and center in the bountiful grasses. The colours are amazing.
ReplyDeleteWow, the grass was so green that year! Terrific art of Eric - that watercolour effect is wonderful. The photo with Angel Flynn with the crocuses is our favorite, but we love them all. XO
ReplyDeleteWe have some mousers if mice dare to enter. LOL! Great pics and artwork!
ReplyDeleteWe bet the grass smelled really nice after the rain.
ReplyDeleteGreat artwork!
That was a cute flashback. I like both works of art. Thank you for the puzzles. XO
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to be able to roam around such lovely, lush fields and then come home to a nice, safe, warm place of one's own.
ReplyDeleteWe loved the art, too.
Such gorgeous photos! And I thought I lived in paradise on earth! Eric and Flynn sure had a terrific place. Thanks so much for sharing the flashbacks! We had a hot summer, and we whined, but it was not quite as hot has the previous summer. This winter though has been our 3rd cold one in a row (It is a triple dip of La Niña) and an extremely early start. Keep being awesome! Marv and Mom
ReplyDeleteWe clicked too soon! We LOVE the Art, Jackie you have a marvelous eye and the puzzles will keep us busy! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteTwo busy boys in their own way! Gorgeous pictures and art.
ReplyDeleteThat grass looks so lush and tasty!
ReplyDeleteMaybe not this year though...darn.
