Before the flashback, I don't usually give health updates but this one is better than usual. I had a phone consultation with my oncologist last week after my latest CT scan. He said that once again there is no change. It is 6 1/2 years since I was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic cancer but I have been stable for 3 years now. He has said that instead of having a scan every 3-4 months he will schedule the next one for 6 months. I know it is still there and will never go away but at least I know the treatment is still working well.
This week I have one photo posts mostly from December 2009.
Flynn Tummy and Toesies Tuesday December 2009. |
Don't worry about waking me, you can snorgle or give me tummy rubs. Mum says I am looking podgy in this photo. I told her my fur is still floofed up from the cold, and of course it is bad camera angle too.
We both usually have a lap each, Eric on dad and Flynn on mum, but sometimes we like to both sit on mum. We even let her have her head back.Wordless Wednesday and a headless mum. |
Eric Waiting. |
Come on dad, don't keep me waiting, I want my chair!
If you look at the front of dad's sweatshirt, you can see all my wet and muddy pawprints where I walked over him when I came in from outdoors.

ReplyDeleteI'm very glad for your health report, I'm praying it continues so indefinitely.
ReplyDeleteThose boys, they were a handful, taking heads and leaving muddy prints. So precious.
Thank you for joining Feline Friday!
That is one fluffy Flynn - Misty is jealous:)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the good news. Our human sister has had two bouts now with the evil cancer within five years. We are hoping there won't be a third.
Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Hurrah! That is very good news, and you must feel relieved at the report. The doctor must be confident of continued good news for the scan to be performed in six, rather than three or four, months. Most encouraging.
ReplyDeleteAnd the picture of you with the boys must be a sign: they are undoubtedly pleased as well, watching from beyond.
we are happy for the good news.. and we love the flynn art... and our headless pic... happy weekend and a happy furst fall day...
ReplyDeleteYes! You must feel very relieved at the news,

Your good health news is fantastic! Yes, may that continue indefinitely.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, that tummy and those toes! So adorable! I love all the pics and art, as always!
Have a wonderful for you to only have to go in at a 6-month interval instead of sooner. I'm sure that gives you much relief.
ReplyDeleteThose two boys were just huge, and so handsome. How you must love looking at the pictures with both of them on you at one time and think about how that felt at that moment.
Great news on your health my best wishes to you 👍

While I didn't often get dirty from Celestial PO'M crawling on me, his nails made marks and pulls in many of my slacks and jeans, but I still wear 'em!

ReplyDeleteWe are really happy for your news :)
ReplyDeleteWe love the headless pic and the art!
Such a wonderful encouraging health update - your good news has made my day! Enjoyed this week's photos and Mom's catwork is very pretty. My sweet Lucy's 11 year passing anniversary is on the 18th. She was a gray tabby rescue that was about 2 years old when I brought her home; she was 11 years old when I lost her much too early to an aggressive mouth cancer. I think about her every day. Hope Mom and Dad are both doing well. Until next time...Jean
ReplyDeleteBravo, Bravo on the good report!!
ReplyDeletePraying that it will remain stable and that the current treatment will keep doing its good work. (And with less scans, you likely will be less of a glowing person when in the dark...LOL!)
Love the pic of you and the two lap kitties...with your head:)
That AI mage turned out pretty well!
I am so happy for the great news from your oncologist! It's time for a happy dance a day for 30 days! Hope you start that right now.
ReplyDeleteEric and Flynn on you is just plain fun to see. They are GINORMOUS! I think you told me the heaviest...was it Flynn? rested on your chest as Katie does on mine! Oh that is so hard to deal but...better in than not there.
My azaleas were half as tall as my one-story home. Beautiful plants. It killed me to see that lichen spread on to all of them. Katie and I read what you said about yours. The boys just have roses don't
they? No azalea?
Flynn you do Tummy and Toesies just like Frodo!!
ReplyDeleteVery good news on the scan Jackie!
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful update! I'm so happy to hear that.
