Looking for Spring and Christmas Cards.

Now it is another year we know that means Spring won't be too far away. We decided to go for a walk and see if we could find it. The beans said it would be too early but we thought we would look anyway.

Success! We found a primrose.

And another one. Mum was very surprised to see them so soon.

Then we found some snowdrops just coming in to bud. We don't usually get them until the end of January.

While we were out we thought we may as well check the heather garden.

Yup, looks okay to us. The heathers flower during different months so there should always be a few flowering all year.

When we got back we checked the roses. The miniature climbing rose has lots of buds on. we hope we don't get any hard frosts to kill them. Mum had three of her roses in bloom on New Year's Day and meant to take a photo and forgot. We had storm force winds yesterday and torrential rain which ruined them so she never got her photos of them.

CHRISTMAS CARDS:
We would like to thank every one who sent us Christmas cards. We are showing all the snail mail cards below. You can see all our e cards on our Christmas card page.

Looking for Spring.

We are getting fed up with all the rain and mud so we thought we would see if we could find Spring.

Yup, here are some daffodils in bud in the field. That is a sign that Spring is somewhere close by.

Then we found some primroses.

The trees have got catkins on them and that is a sure sign of Spring too. We wonder why they are called catkins. They don't look like kitties.

Then we found snowdrops. We hope Spring soon comes to you too.

We've Found It !

It's been a long cold winter and we have kept checking to see where Spring is.

Well, at last we think it is here. The birds are building their nests.

Mr and Mrs Pigeon have returned to their nest they always use in the tree outside our window.

The daffodils have flowered well but are nearly finished now.

The dainty little primroses are flowering......

and today we saw the first violets.

Flynn: The mousies are back in full force. I hear them wherever I walk.

Mr. Pheasant is looking for a wife.

The vishus badgers are digging holes everywhere. We aren't allowed too close to their setts because they have big furroshus teeth.
Eric: Mum yelled at me because I wanted to see if anyone was home.

The grass is getting longer and greener. Yup, Spring is definitely here.

Friday Flashback

The Friday Flashback this week comes from April 2008 and is called:

A SPRING DAY.

It wuz lovely and sunny and even warm, so mum said we would have a nice long walk around the field's togevver. Flynn said if we didn't mind, he would rather stop and guard the mousie hole. Mum said that wuz ok, so I went on my own wiv her.

I sat on the hedge and gave her a cupple of my best mancat poses.

I like to show off my fizz-eek!

Then I rubbed my face on some twigs in case there were any introoders around. They haf to know this is Eric and Flynn territory.

I had a quick look to see if I could see any mice. No none here.

None here either.

Or here.

Then we stopped to admire the pretty blossom on the thorn trees.

When we got back I asked Flynn if he had caught me a mousie. He hissed at me!!!!

Hmppphhhh there wuz no need furr that Flynn. I know you wuz jellus cuz I went furr a walk wiv mum all on our own.
WE'RE BACK TOMORROW! YAYYYY!!!!!!!
