First of all I just wanted to give a brief health update to explain why I haven't commented much for a few days.
Many of you know that I get a lot of problems with my gall bladder, but they didn't want to operate originally in case it accelerated the cancer. I have been getting repeated attacks which are steadily getting worse. I had a particularly bad attack on Sunday morning, only 5 days after the previous one so went to A&E.
They took me in and gave me the first morphine injection and put me on a drip, and allowed me to have clear liquids only. They had hoped to fit me in for an emergency operation on Monday but the theatres were too busy. When it seemed Tuesday would be the same they sent me home on Monday night. I had a phone call on Wednesday to say they could do it on the 26th.
They hope to do it by laparoscopy but warned me it may have to be open surgery which will mean a week stay in hospital. A laparoscopy would only be overnight.
As to the cancer. The tablets had stopped working in January and it had started to grow very slightly again, so they prescribed me a new tablet. My latest CT scan in August showed it was working. There is no more spread and one of the cancerous nodules had shrunk very slightly, so good news. I don't like to bore everyone with my health but just wanted to say why I hadn't been commenting much.
Okay, enough of that and on to the flashback which comes from December 2007 and was, "A Wet Sunday in the Hay Barn."
The weather has been very wet lately, so we hafn't been for many walks wiv mum. We yooshully stay in the garden while she goes out to do the horses and gets soaking wet.Dad has been home more furr Chris Mouse, so he took us furr a walk and it started to rain again. He asked us if we wanted to go in the barn so we didn't get too wet. Well we don't mind getting wet, but it seemed like he did, so we said ok he could go in the barn if he wanted.
We didn't find any mousies though. They must haf heard us coming.
It wuz good just relaxing in the barn then having a nice quiet stroll.
For this version I started with Illusion at 50% followed by Frost at 20%

ReplyDeleteThat sure was a lot of hay to have fun with!! Eric and Flynn would have had fun here,m we get lots of mice in our cellar at this time of the year...we live in an old frame home, and the deer mice prefer dryer and warmer places...yup, who wouldn't!
I am sending healing purrs your way. I understand about not wanting to bore people - my human hates discussing health issues too - but we want to know how you are doing.
ReplyDeleteWe envy you boys all that hay! We can only imagine what kind of fun a cat could find in hay ...

ReplyDeleteWe love the barn pictures, sweet Angels. It reminds Granny of her first kitty who climbed down the ladder when she met her the first time💗
We were not aware of your cancer scare, and hope you do well with your recovery. It's a scary, scary thing. We prefer the second artified photo. Dad says your arty tweaks give it a "countrified" feel, whatever that means. Take care of yourself.
