Friday Flashback and Caturday Art - Photographer Cats.

A while back someone asked about the posts where the boys took their own photos wearing their camera. I did a search on dashboard and found some of the posts. I hope you enjoy revisiting photos from a cat's view. Next week I will try and find the posts of the first time they wore the camera.

The first one is from Eric and is from February 2011.

Eric:  Mum asked me if I wanted to have another try at taking photos, so I said okay. I wasn't very happy the first time I wore a collar and the camera but I was much better this time. Most of my photos were extreme close ups of the grass I was nomming and came out black or very blurred but I got three that I was happy with. Flynn is sitting there patiently waiting for a mousie.

After I came out of that field I sat by some of the stables while I waited for Flynn. Danni, the horse that snorts at us and chases us looked out to see what I was doing, so I took her photo. It is a bit dark. Flynn said it was because I was sat close to the fence and it cut out my natural light. He knows a lot about photography now and said he will give me some tips.

When we got indoors I took Flynn's photo. I seem to have cut his head off though. Maybe I need to practice a bit more.

Next is Flynn from August 2012

Flynn:  I went out with the camera again and took a photo of Eric. He looked right at me which is more than he does for mum. Thanks Eric.

One of the horses was lame so I took a photo of the vet examining him.

I got a little bit closer but not too near because he was being trotted up and I didn't want to get splat.

On the way back I took a photo of dad's legs.

Then in the garden I took a photo of Eric's legs.

Then Eric laid down so I took another photo of him. I'm sorry I chopped your ears off Eric. I think you must have moved.

I am joining Athena the Cat Goddess for Caturday Art. I am using a photo I took of Flynn wearing the camera. Here is the original.

I used Flow at 50% followed by Scribble at 30%.
I almost forgot the puzzle so it is at the bottom under the linkslist.

I am also joining Sandee at Comedy Plus for the blog hop.

  9. Ahhh! THe secret life of Eric and Flynn! I remember these! I was totally entranced with the photos the boys took. Angel Nellie Bellie got one of thoise cameras. On her first trip outside with it the camera was blurry, she managed to lose it on the second trip. Thanks for sharing. Keep being awesome!

  10. Oh, these are great! I wish you were able to get a bit closer to the vet examining the lame horse, Flynn, but I do understand you didn't want to get splat on. And Eric, I don't think you moved and chopped off your own ears (sorry, Flynn!) Mom's catwork is pretty. Hope Mom and Dad are doing well. Until next time...Jean

  13. We always loved the cat-cam pictures. TBT wanted to try that with us, but since we pull offer even regular collars, he figured we would just lose the camera too.

It makes sense that most of their pictures were ground level. When we are outside, we dont lean back and look up much either. Unless TBT is there and we want ta talk to him.

But if he is out there with us, HE can take the pictures. MOL!

  15. I remember the collar-camera. What fun it must have been taking those pictures. And Eric didn't mind being the subject - unlike when his mum tried to take his photograph...

  16. We remember when kitty collar cameras were all the rage! Someone sent us one but we never actually used it. It was fun to see these pics!

  17. These photos are so fun. We put a camera on Mauricio years ago. Mom has no idea where those photos are now. The very last photo Eric took turned out better than some of our mom’s photos. She always looks forward to your puzzles. Have a great weekend. 23. Flynn was a great photographer. Those leg shots remind TW of all the pics her dad used to take where he's cut everyone's heads off. He was famous for that.

  24. Naturally the boys' point of view is what counts (mol)!
    Lovely art too.

  25. Flynn just had to get used to the camera. He took a couple of really good pictures of Eric! One must also take into account his vantage point which isn't very far off the floor. I say Bravo, Flynn!

As usual, the Caturday Art is stunning in style and colour. Bravo to you, too.
