Friday Flashback and Caturday Art - Photographer Cats.

A while back someone asked about the posts where the boys took their own photos wearing their camera. I did a search on dashboard and found some of the posts. I hope you enjoy revisiting photos from a cat's view. Next week I will try and find the posts of the first time they wore the camera.

The first one is from Eric and is from February 2011.

Eric:  Mum asked me if I wanted to have another try at taking photos, so I said okay. I wasn't very happy the first time I wore a collar and the camera but I was much better this time. Most of my photos were extreme close ups of the grass I was nomming and came out black or very blurred but I got three that I was happy with. Flynn is sitting there patiently waiting for a mousie.

After I came out of that field I sat by some of the stables while I waited for Flynn. Danni, the horse that snorts at us and chases us looked out to see what I was doing, so I took her photo. It is a bit dark. Flynn said it was because I was sat close to the fence and it cut out my natural light. He knows a lot about photography now and said he will give me some tips.

When we got indoors I took Flynn's photo. I seem to have cut his head off though. Maybe I need to practice a bit more.

Next is Flynn from August 2012

Flynn:  I went out with the camera again and took a photo of Eric. He looked right at me which is more than he does for mum. Thanks Eric.

One of the horses was lame so I took a photo of the vet examining him.

I got a little bit closer but not too near because he was being trotted up and I didn't want to get splat.

On the way back I took a photo of dad's legs.

Then in the garden I took a photo of Eric's legs.

Then Eric laid down so I took another photo of him. I'm sorry I chopped your ears off Eric. I think you must have moved.

I am joining Athena the Cat Goddess for Caturday Art. I am using a photo I took of Flynn wearing the camera. Here is the original.

I used Flow at 50% followed by Scribble at 30%.
I almost forgot the puzzle so it is at the bottom under the linkslist.

Friday Flashback and Caturday Art.

Today I am combining two posts from August 2012. They are both from when the boys went out wearing their camera and is called
Photographer Cats
Mum charged our camera up for us because we haven't taken any photos for quite some time. She has got it set to take a photo every minute and it will take 40 photos, so we wear it for 20 minutes each. If she gets 10 reasonable photos out of the set, she tells us we have done very well.
Part 1, Flynn

Flynn: It was my turn first so I took a photo on the path on the way down to the fields.

That is dad's roller by the gate for making the field go flat.

Huh! Trust Eric to walk in front of me!

Here is some nice tasty grass. It is good if you want to yak.

This is the horse poop heap. It is all the fresh poop that is picked up from the fields and is very stinky! The poop heap you saw us by the other day is the winter poop heap and has bedding with it and is not stinky.

There is Snowdon the horse and he is under our favourite climbing tree.

Mum told Eric it is his turn to wear the camera now so he said he would have a quick bath first.
He will show you his photos later in the week.

Part 2, Eric

Eric: Do you remember in Flynn's last photo that it was a back view of me sat here having a wash? Well you can't see me now because I am wearing the camera.

I took a photo of Snowdon, but he must have been sneaky and jumped sideways so I almost missed him.

Here is some more nommy grass, but mine is better than Flynn's because it has clover in it.

Dad has been replacing the garage roof so I went and checked the old roofing sheets.

Then we went back in the garden and I took a photo of Flynn. I could do with a zoom lens really, but mum said it would be too heavy for me. Those are my whiskers hanging down in the top right.

Then I took a photo of one of our nip plants. It came out blurry but nip does that to you.

This is one of our outdoor drinking bowls with rainwater in it. It has got some dead grass in it too from when dad cut the lawn, but that gives it extra flavour.

I saw Flynn had gone in his plant pot in the greenhouse and wanted to take another photo of him, but he was too busy bathing to look up. I hope you have enjoyed our photos from our viewpoint.

I didn't think any of the photos in today's post would make good art so I chose one at random from my folder.

I started with Flow at 50%, then added Landscape at 35% and finished with Frost at 20%.
Of course there is a puzzle.

Friday Flashback - Photographer Cats and Caturday Art.

After last week's flashback with Flynn bossing Eric around when he was wearing the camera, several of you asked to see some posts with photos they took themselves.
This one is from September 2011. I will post more of these flashbacks in the future.
Mum charged our camera up so we can go out and take some more photos.

Wait for us mum!

Eric: It was my turn to wear the camera first but I was a bit tired, so I laid down and had a roll. The silly camera rolled with me.

This is our favourite climbing tree. Flynn goes right out on the tiny little branches right up the top. I only go up the big branches. Those are my whiskers you can see across the photo.

This is a close up of the tree. I am sharpening my claws on it.

Flynn: It was my turn next and I wanted to do some nature shots so I took this close up of the grass and the hardhead weeds (plantain).

Then I took a shot of this clover. There are no 4 leaf ones here, but mum has found 2 at different times.

I wanted to get a close photo of Eric but he must have moved because I missed his head.

He marched off in disgust.

Eric: Mum put the camera back on me so I could show Flynn how to take a good photo.
We hope you have enjoyed your walk with us.

My Caturday Art this week is one I found in Dreamscope. I don't know when I did it but it must have been a while back because it was before they started rendering the free versions so small. I think I used Winter Solstice because I was trying that one quite often 4 or 5 months ago.

You can find more Caturday Art at Athena the Cat Goddess.

I have also made a puzzle from it. Click the picture below to go to Jigsaw Planet.

Friday Flashback, Caturday Art and a Puzzle.

This week the flashback comes from September 2011 and is soon after the boys started wearing the camera. I will probably do some of their photography posts in the coming weeks.

Flynn: I've been thinking that maybe it isn't fair if I lie around taking it easy while Eric is taking photos, So I decided to go with him.

Come on Eric, no slacking, you have work to do.

Eric: All right, don't nag. Walking is very tiring especially with a camera around your neck.

I will see if there are any badgers here for me to photograph.

Flynn: Come on Eric, they won't be around during daylight. Follow me and keep your head up or you will only get close ups of the grass.

Eric: Is that better?

Slow down Flynn, this grass is very thick to walk through.

Flynn: STOP!!!
Eric: Why, what's wrong?
Flynn: Nothing, but you need to stand still like this to get a good photo.

Flynn: Right that will do. We can go back home now. Hurry up and follow me.

Flynn: Come on Eric. Do I always have to get behind you to hurry you along?

Eric: That Flynn is such a slave driver that I am completely tired out now.

Here is my version of one of the photos from this post for the Caturday Art.
I started with Flames at 35%, then Landscape at 50%, Scribble at 30% then added Flames again at 20% to bring a bit of colour back.

You can see more art with Athena the Cat Goddess.
