One Lovely Blog Award.

I have been given the One Lovely Blog Award by Kali and Shoko of the Canadian Cats.

I have to tell you 7 things about myself. I have had lots of awards over the past 10 years so you probably know as much about me as I know myself, but here goes.

1. I have always been very vocal. I like to do my garden patrols and yowl all the way round. That is to warn intruders to keep away. Sometimes when I have used my litter box in the middle of the night I come back yowling to let everyone know.

2. I am a very good mouser and must have caught hundreds over the years. I rarely eat them but used to play with them and then give them to Eric to eat.

3. My favourite food is Stinky Goodness but sometimes my mum gives me a flavour I don't like. Just because I liked it one day doesn't mean I like it the next. Now I sniff it and walk away, but I used to show my displeasure by eating it from my paw and flicking it everywhere.

4. I like to keep a close eye on my mum. If I am outdoors I have to keep coming in to check on her. If she is in bed and I am out on her recliner, if I hear her move I have to go right in and check she is okay.

5.  I am not really a lap cat. I may sit there for a couple of minutes, but that's it. I much prefer cuddles and will snuggle up in mum's arms for a long time, especially if she has her furry dressing gown on. I also like to sleep on her tummy. If she is on her side I keep walking over her and purring at her until she turns onto her back. I will lie with my nose against her chin for a minute or two, then I turn around to sleep with my butt in her face.

6.  I go for walks with my mum and dad together now, but in the beginning me and Eric went with her because my dad was out working. We used to walk where she told us we could and she would let us wander on ahead as long as she could see us. Sometimes Eric would wander too far and wouldn't come back when she called him. She says I was a good boy because she would tell me to wait while she went after Eric. I would sit in the grass and not move until she came back except to pounce on the odd mousie or two,and then she told me what a good boy I was.

7.  Okay the last thing about me. I am a nip head. Yes I've admitted it. I love my nip and can never have too much of it.

Traditions an Award and Hug Your Cat Day.

We are having some lovely sunny weather and that means more walks for me. I sniffed in all my usual places when suddenly I got a whiff that made the fur on my back stand up.

Then it made my tail floof just a little bit.

And then it floofed a lot!

I needed to lay down to get a really good sniff and find out what was going on.

Then I remembered what Eric always used to say. "If in doubt, pee on it." I am not one to break with tradition so of course I did just that.

I won an award last week from Timmy Tomcat. I was one of three who guessed the language of the 6th salutation on their Memorial Day post which was Klingon.

Mancat Monday and Blog of the Year Award.

A mancat is not afraid to go out in the cold even if it does make the fur on his back stand on end.

The Friday Flashback and an Award.

The Friday Flashback today comes from March 2010 and is called:

ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL DAY.

This is where mum's best most favourite horse, Mr. Who is buried. We like coming to his grave because there are lots of mouseholes there.

They have made the ground soft where they burrow and I whap with my paw to feel where they are.

Success!

Mum tells me she would rather I didn't eat them, but very often I do.

After that it was time to go back home.

The sun came out again and made our furrs look much brighter ginger. Eric decided to sit in the sun for a while.


Then mum called us and told us it was suppertime, so off we went again.

We went on ahead of mum so we would have time to sniff the gate before we went in.

An introoder cat comes around outside our purrison fence and poops by the gate, and he doesn't even cover!
Then we sit and wait for mum to catch up.
Hurry up mum! All this walking has given us an appetite.

Easy Like Sunday and Award.

This is our smaller cat tree and it is near the dining room table so I can keep an eye on the food.

It is by the window out the other side from the big cat tree so I can watch different fevvers from this side.

And when I have finished watching, I can take a nap.

Then when I wake up again I like tummy tickles.

Easy Like Sunday

Well it would be an easy Sunday if dad would get out of my recliner but he is busy doing Sudoku.

It doesn't look like he is going to move any time soon does it.

So now we have to think of seven things about ourselves.
1. Flynn: I have recently started a new career as a photographer.
2. Eric: I love to be zoom groomed. We have got two and when I am being zoom groomed on my body, I do my own face with the other one. I rub my face on it really hard.
3. Flynn: I like to sing. Mum calls it yowling but I don't know why. I go out in the garden when it is dark and sing at the top of my voice. I do it in daylight too.
4. Eric: I love water. When mum or dad are in the bath I like to join them. I don't actually get in the water but I lie on them with my tail and paws floating. When they see me coming they grab a towel quick for me to sit on because I like to make biscuits in the bath and it makes them say ouch.
5. Flynn: If I don't like the Stinky Goodness we are given, I eat it with my paw and flick it on the fridge.
6. Eric: I am very ticklish. Just being stroked makes me bite my feet.
7. Both of us: We get our teeth brushed every day because Eric gets rapid tartar build up.Dad does it and uses the old head from an electric toothbrush and Logic oral gel. We are very good to have it done.

We got this award from TK and Squashies when we got out of purrison. We have had to keep on at mum to help us post it, but at least she has helped us now.

Here are 7 things about us.

1. Flynn: Even though we are littermates and I eat more than Eric, his weight varies between 7 and 8lbs heavier than me.
2. Eric: I love dry food much more than Stinky Goodness but we don't get it any more to help me lose weight. We do still get occasional treats though.
3. Flynn: I like to be wherever my mum is. If she is indoors when I am in the garden, I have to keep checking on her.
4. Eric: When mum goes to bed I make biscuits on her head. She must like it because she says ooh and ahh a lot. When I have finished biscuit making, I lie on dad's pillow with my paw across his head.
5. Flynn: Mum tells me I'm a squawker but what she means is that I talk a lot.
6. Eric: I love to be groomed with the zoom groom and the furminator. If the Beans did it 100 times a day, it wouldn't be too often.
7. Both of us: When the Beans come home from their holidays and we get let out of purrison, they leave the purrison cell door open and after we have said hello to them, we go back in. We like it in there really but don't tell them that.

Now it is time for more Norway photos. These are all taken in Geirangerfjord with the village of Geiranger at the base of the mountains. There is no need for descriptions, mum thinks the beautiful scenery speaks for itself.

My dad gives the best whisker scritches ever. His chin scritches are pretty good too.

An Apology and an Award.

We are very glad to have our Beans back again, but we are not so happy that mum says she has lots to catch up with now she is home again. We told her we need to visit our friends but we keep hearing busy busy busy! It's not fair. We are sorry we haven't been visiting much but mum said we should be getting back to normal in a day or two. In the meantime we will visit when we can.
